To prepare for this discussion, review the purpose and benefits of accreditation by an organization that provides this service in an area of health care in which you have an interest. For provider organizations, it may be the Joint Commission; for schools, it may be the Commission on Collegiate Nursing Education (CCNE) or the National League for Nursing (NLN); and for other service sectors, it may be the Utilization Review Accreditation Commission (URAC) or other bodies.
To introduce your discussion, summarize the purpose and benefits of accreditation from your selected accrediting body. Then address the following items:
